Ramada by Wyndham North Bergen

Honest review, i stayed between the 28th of October and the 4th of November 2025. The hotel looks to be going under some general maintance but nothing like a building site and never bothered me. If you're needing somewhere to sleep and have a brew and plan out your days then this hotel will do. The beds are really nice, got a good nights sleep every night, showers great, you have a free breakfast between 06:30 - 09:30 its a basic breakfast but if you're just wanting a kickstart before you go out its just what you need. Theres free coffee, tea, water 24-7 in the little room just to the right of the reception desk. Its got free WiFi, the roomservice was brilliant, it does run a little shuttle bus to times square apparently, however, I did hear someone say it was $18 per person, i would advise walking out of the hotel entrance door turn right across the parking lot, go right out of the parking lot and follow the path round to the crossing, cross over the road, head straight up the back of the motel thats on the left, follow the road up and round keeping to the right. You'll see an Aldi store, just up from that is a bus stop. $3 per person and it'll take you straight to the port authority bus and subway turminal on 42nd close to times square. So would i recommend it, Yes 100% if your out all day like i was and you just need somewhere to sleep and rest go for it. At the end of the day i didnt fly to America to spend my time in an hotel staring at four walls, i came to see NewYork

This hotel offers reasonable prices, free parking, and free hot breakfast (though no meat options). The other side of the building is still under renovation, but our room was newly renovated with no smell of paint, as we requested. The location is convenient for visiting New York—there is a mini-bus pickup spot at the corner of Columbia Ave. and 30th St., about a 12-minute walk from the hotel’s parking lot. The mini-bus, run by a private company and accepts cash only, also returns from PABT and is even cheaper than NJ Transit buses. On the other hand, the hotel could improve to reach its full potential: adding meat options such as sausages or bacon to breakfast, providing training for staff especially reception staff to be more attentive and professional, and paying closer attention to renovation details (for example, paint marks left on the wall). We were hesitant when booking given the low review rate, but it turned out to be a decent stay for our New York visit.

The service here was good. I would suggest cleaning the bathroom and cleaning off the purple paint or stain I saw. The free breakfast definitely needs to be expanded because it's very disappointing, and you have a beautiful kitchen that should be utilized.

I originally ended up at the Ramada by Wyndham North Bergen by mistake. I was actually supposed to check into the Days Inn next door, but no complaints here! Sometimes a happy accident works out better than expected. The hotel is well-kept, with clean rooms and friendly staff that made me feel right at home. I’m staying for a few days, and the experience has been great so far. The hotel has all the amenities you’d need, and the construction nearby hasn’t impacted me at all. I didn’t even notice it! The location is also a pleasant surprise. The bus stop to New York is just a 0.5-mile walk away or shuttle at 9 and 10 AM for $10 per person, which is super convenient for anyone looking to explore the city. I’ll continue to observe my stay, and if things stay this good, this five-star review will stick. But if my experience changes, I’ll update accordingly. Either way, I’m glad I found this place by accident so far.

Our family of three, including my wife and elder son, stayed one night at the Ramada by Wyndham in North Bergen, NJ, from May 30-31. We were given a clean, well-sized room that felt secure with both a card-scan entry and an internal lock. The front desk staff were responsive, breakfast included a standard selection, and complimentary hot drinks and ice were available 24/7 in a compact room of the lobby area. The location was convenient, just a short walk to the bus stop for easy access to Times Square, though we used Uber instead. Overall, the hotel offered a comfortable, reasonably priced stay with attentive staff and useful amenities, making it a practical choice for both overnight stays and as a base for conveniently exploring New York City and its surrounding suburbs. Following our pleasant experience, we would certainly prefer to stay with the Ramada brand again on our next trips.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ramada by Wyndham North Bergen. We were traveling as a family with two kids and stayed for three nights. I'm giving my rating based on several key factors: excellent value for money, easy access to public transportation (the NJ Transit bus to Port Authority in New York is just a 10-minute walk, you get buses in every 4 minutes), and the added convenience of private shuttles paid service not free. Daily housekeeping was prompt, neat, and well-done. They change the towels as well as bedsheet everyday. Breakfast was good, the staff were incredibly kind and courteous, and free parking was a big plus. Coffee is 24x7 available. One thing to note is that there was some reconstruction work happening during our stay. However, we personally didn’t experience any noise or disturbances, so it didn’t affect our comfort. Aldi is 10 minutes walk so you can get grocery there. Overall good for family in term of value for money. You should not compare with Marriott as you pay hell lots of money there. It's not a very lavish or luxurious one but for a trip visiting places like NY it's a good one.

No understanding for such a low overall rating. Yes the hotel is undergoing some works and doesn’t look its best at the minute however the rooms are spotless and all up to date. The bus stop is less then a ten min walk away which takes you to the centre of New York- runs every 5-10 mins. We got the bus back around 12:30am so runs fairly late. Breakfast provided every morning and free wifi

Free coffe and tea 24/7, small but nice breakfast , helpful staff. For the price you are paying it is extremely nice, even though there is construction which did not bother me at all. Absolutely recommended.
